This week we’re celebrating everything Dartmoor! 🐴
The tor-topped moors of this wild landscape draws visitors from far and wide. Some come to experience what is often referred to as the last wilderness of southern Britain, others come to marvel at the ancient monuments left by our ancestors some 4,000 years ago and some come to spot the ponies which graze the open moorland.
Dartmoor was officially designated a national park in October 1951 and covers some 368 sq miles. You can discover more about the park on the official Dartmoor National Park website - www.dartmoor.gov.uk
